Barcelona Registers Garsiya, But Rashford Still Awaits
- Joaquin Garsiya has been registered through the transfer window of Ter Shtegen.
- Marcus Rashford and Runy Bardghy have not yet received registration.
- Barcelona has until September 31 to complete the registration process.
The football club Barcelona is actively working on the registration of new players ahead of the start of the 2025-26 La Liga season. Despite the fact that only three days remain until the start, new signings, including goalkeeper Joan Garsiya and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, have not yet received permission to participate in matches.
Clubs that exceed the limit on spending on salaries are required to seek solutions for the registration of new players. The executive directors of Barcelona have decided to risk personal funds to ensure a bank guarantee of 7 million euros. This decision was necessary due to financial difficulties related to the restructuring in the club's sports departments.
Garsiya has already received registration through the transfer of main goalkeeper Mark-André ter Shtegen, who is expected to miss several months. However, Rashford and young player Runy Bardghy are still unable to be registered. Club president Joan Laporta confirmed that Barcelona will remain open until September 31 for the registration of these players, otherwise they may miss the start of the season.
According to the information, the club is also waiting for the approval of the sale of future revenues from exclusive locations at the Camp Nou stadium, which may help resolve financial issues and allow the registration of new players.
