PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police are investigating the armed robbery of an armored Brink's vehicle that occurred on September 13, 2025, in the vicinity of Philadelphia. Two armed robbers, one armed with an AR-15 pistol and the other with a standard pistol, managed to steal between $700,000 and $800,000.

The robbery took place near the H Mart store in Cheltenham, where the criminals fled in a black Acura vehicle, which was later found abandoned. Police stated that no one was injured during the incident.

This incident is part of a series of robberies that have occurred in the region this summer. Police and the FBI are investigating a possible connection between these incidents. One of the most significant incidents occurred on June 21, when robbers stole over $2 million in cash from a Brink's truck near a Home Depot in Philadelphia.

On Wednesday, September 13, federal prosecutors announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with this robbery. One of the arrested, 31-year-old Trayvon Jackson, is a former employee of Brink's. Jackson's attorney described him as a good family man with no criminal history.

According to information, most of the stolen money from the robbery on June 21 was recovered, including a portion of the cash being spent on jewelry and clothing.

Currently, police continue their investigation to determine whether these crimes are related to each other.
