Patriots Conduct Joint Training with Vikings
- During joint training with the Vikings, the Patriots are reviewing their performance
- Drake May demonstrated his ability to make deep passes
- Joint training has become a platform for renewing old connections
HEIGAN, Minnesota — The New England Patriots team during joint training with the Minnesota Vikings focused on refining their game ahead of the upcoming season. Head coach Mike Vrabel received an invitation for training from colleagues at the Vikings, which became an opportunity for both teams to review their strengths.
During the training, the Patriots faced challenges on the defensive line. New quarterback Drake May mentioned that he felt pressure from the Vikings' defenders. However, despite the poor performance of the line, he managed to execute several successful passes, including one at 30 yards to Kayshon Boutte.
During the training, new Patriots center Garrett Bradbury noted that the team received valuable lessons. "Some moments were good, some were bad. It was a good test for us," he said.
Joint training has become a platform for renewing old acquaintances. Many players, such as Stephen Diggs and Bradbury, were previously teammates with the Vikings. These connections help create a positive atmosphere during training.
The Patriots demonstrated some progress, particularly thanks to the new running back Treveon Henderson, who managed to transform a simple pass into a 70-yard touchdown. "When we executed the blocks, we achieved great success," Bradbury emphasized.
Although the Patriots have not yet reached optimal performance, the new training staff and players are looking forward to improvements in the future. May noted that training with the strong defensive line of the Vikings will teach them how to handle pressure and improve their skills.
