- UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expressed hope for achieving a ceasefire.
Germany announced plans to allocate $500 million for military equipment and ammunition for Ukraine, particularly for anti-tank weapons, which are becoming a crucial step in the defense against Russian attacks. According to NATO information, this aid package should be formed based on supplies from the USA. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that this assistance helps Ukraine defend itself against Russia's aggression.
This initiative aligns with comments from US President Donald Trump, who previously warned about "serious consequences" if Vladimir Putin does not agree to peace negotiations. Trump also indicated that after a meeting with Putin, there may be another meeting to which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could be invited.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expressed hope for the possibility of achieving a ceasefire, noting that Ukrainian military allies are ready for sanctions against Russia if negotiations do not lead to results. Meanwhile, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that Russia is eager to discuss reducing NATO's presence in Ukraine in the context of future negotiations.
At the same time, Ukrainian forces continue to carry out strikes on targets in Russia, including a petrochemical plant in the Bryansk region, and reports are also emerging about the capture of populated points in the Donetsk region by Russian troops.
