As of 14 September 2025, according to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army has suffered significant losses. During the last day, from 13 to 14 September, losses amounted to 990 military personnel, and 5 tanks and 29 artillery systems were also destroyed.

Since the beginning of the war, on 24 February 2022, the total combat losses of Russian forces are estimated at:

  • approximately 1,067,100 personnel;
  • 11,104 tanks;
  • 23,130 armored combat vehicles;
  • 31,458 artillery systems;
  • 1,466 multiple launch rocket systems;
  • 1,207 anti-aircraft systems;
  • 421 aircraft;
  • 340 helicopters;
  • 51,043 drones;
  • 3,558 cruise missiles;
  • 28 ships;
  • 1 submarine;
  • 58,456 vehicles and fuel tanks;
  • 3,937 special vehicles.

On the front, 118 combat engagements were recorded, including the largest engagement taking place in the Pokrovsk direction, where Russian forces attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops 42 times.

The tense situation is also being observed in the Novopavlivsk, Siversk, Lyman, and Toretsk directions.
