Czech artillery coalition delivers one million shells to Ukraine

  • The Czech Republic has delivered one million shells to Ukraine in 2025.
  • The coalition discussed its readiness to act before the negotiations between Trump and Putin.
  • Ukraine plans to receive 1.8 million shells by the end of the year.

This was reported by RBC Ukraine, Ukrayinska Pravda.

In 2025, Ukraine received one million large-caliber shells as part of the Czech initiative, as reported by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

This fact was announced during a video conference of the coalition's readiness to act on September 13. Fiala also participated in a meeting with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

According to the words of Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, by the end of the year, Ukraine plans to receive 1.8 million shells through this initiative.

Video Conference of the Coalition's Readiness to Act

The coalition was formed on February 2, 2025, and unites European countries that support Ukraine during the war with Russia. One of the initiatives is the delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine after the active phase of the war ends.

On September 15, U.S. President Donald Trump was scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Algiers to discuss pathways to a comprehensive ceasefire.

Coalition participants expressed concern that Trump may resolve the future of Ukraine without the involvement of European countries. In response to this, on September 13, coalition leaders held a video conference with Trump to discuss key positions.

During the meeting, Trump reaffirmed his intention to engage in negotiations on a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Coalition countries have agreed on common principles for ending the war, which include involving Ukraine in real peace negotiations.
